Snow Leopard – “Panthera uncia”
“Mekong”, our one of a kind Male Snow Leopard has been with us since he was just weeks old. One of Mekong’s first filming adventures began at months old, being helicoptered high atop the Mountain range for a still photography session. He’s been flying ever since and enjoys being able to experience his natural habitat at 8000 + feet elevation!
This opportunity cannot be found anywhere in the world, giving photograhers and videographers a once in a lifetime, rare experience to capture images or footage that really stands out! If using the helicopter to film Mekong isn’t your cup of tea, Mekong can also be filmed down low, on rocky ledges and snowy fields. Permanent fences or harsh training techniques are not used here at Animals of Montana, we pride ourselves in the positive training techniques we use, not only with our Snow Leopard but with all of our animals.
