Animals of Montana can help you create any kind of visual message using animal concepts for your business promotion or company image. We’ll help you come up with “wild” advertising solutions, advertising applications and marketing concepts. Contact Troy Hyde for more information.

Animals of Montana can arrange to helicopter you and/or your crew into the mountains for all your filming needs.  Please contact Troy Hyde, or contact Mike Carisch/Pilot and owner of Carisch Helicopters directly at (406) 282-7690 for more details.

Animals of Montana also helps educate the public, government agencies and special interest groups about “coexisting with wild predators”. Troy’s grizzlies demonstrate what happens to sloppy campsites and new urban developments near wilderness areas. He also does clinics with his bears, mountain lions and wolves to teach back country users about predator behaviors. Contact Troy Hyde for more information.

‘SPRING’ into Summer Workshop with Artist, Val Warner!

JOIN Val Warner, who is currently one of the top selling artists in the Wyland Gallery in Las Vegas , Hawaii , South Lake Tahoe and Carmel , California .  Joining the Wyland group of artist's in these locations, Val quickly earned her spot in the premier section of the gallery.  Her out of bounds wildlife depictions draw the attention of everyone entering or exiting the galleries.  You don't have to be a wildlife lover to recognize a great artist and Val Warner is an artist that can do it all.  Learn from the best, an artist that can maintain the integrity of a great painting and the collector's choice in marketability.  What she does resonate to the collector is honest, pure and without pretense.  Join Val Warner and learn about the honesty of her artwork and yours.   Join Animals of Montana for this one of a kind artist workshop!

The workshop begins at 7 pm, Friday, May 22.2009 at Animals of Montana involving an intimate evening before our photo sessions…. Val expects to leave you with a solid feeling of "I can do that!"   On display she'll have 5 full size giclee's as well as her new original.  Val will also have her references for each. You'll see a slide presentation of her journey on this path (as well as some masters from our past). It's a lively presentation of what works and what doesn't in the act of painting as well as what works for the finished products (techniques, why certain work succeeds, why some fail).  At the end of this 90 minute lecture, you will be inspired to illuminate the spirit through your art.  The next morning, Saturday, May 23 beginning at 9 am we’ll again meet at Animals of Montana .  If you are looking for Reference Photo’s Galore, you’ve come to the right place!  Along with great instruction from Val, you’ll also have numerous photo opportunities with a great variety of animals, up close and personal!  As a bonus, May is our BABY ANIMAL season, so on top of having opportunities with the big guys such as Grizzly Bears, Tiger, Mountain Lion, Fox, Pine Marten, Badger, Skunks, and many others, you’ll also have opportunities with the babies we’ll have on board at that time…baby raccoons, mountain lions, skunks, bobcats, lynx, and others!   The instruction and photography will be intertwined throughout the day with the workshop finishing up between 3:30-4 pm.  The cost of the workshop is just $550.00/person which also includes a gourmet hot lunch!

Val's purpose is to illuminate your artistic spirit.  You will leave the workshop with wonderful, workable images and a feeling of "can do" in your art.  Val will be bringing her very own Animals of Montana photo references, her layouts using those references and the paintings that she created.  She’ll also be bringing a “new ~ in process” original, along with her references.  She’ll show you just how easy it is to come up with a painting from your photo references and talk about all the guiding principles that artists need to adhere by in order to have a successful painting ~ composition, values, color choices, subject matter, pose, and background.  Val will go over all of them and why each is important.  She’ll have plenty of time for one on one discussion.  Val will speak of the light, shadows and expression of each animal as we photograph. She'll go around the circle of artists and ask what inspires you as an artist, helping you develop a sense of self and confidence in your choices as a wildlife artist. You will come away ready and excited to paint!

As an added bonus Val has enlisted the assistance of Mike Donahue, a professional photographer with a passion for nature and wildlife photography. Mike has been shooting nature and wildlife for more than a decade. His work has been sold from coast to coast and has been on exhibit throughout South Florida . He also organizes the South Florida Nature and Wildlife Photography Meetup Group, the largest photography group in the area with over 400 members. For more than a year now Mike has been teaching photographers of every skill level how to improve their photography by mastering their cameras. Through workshops and photographic outings he helps members discover how to get the most from their equipment. During this workshop Mike will share his experience and knowledge to help you capture the best reference shots possible.  Please feel free to check out Mike’s stunning website: http://www.donahuephoto.com.

If you are a collector of Val’s work, she’d love to have you along!  You will learn just how she creates her work and possibly even design a new original JUST FOR YOU!  This is a one of a kind opportunity for sure!

Spaces are limited so if interested please don’t hesitate to get in touch.  Thank you for your time!
